This is Traci, She handles a 2000 plus customer base with care and keeps all the sales people on the run. She is the Receptionist, Secretary, Sales, Marketing, Service Writer, Shuttle Service, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Invoicing, Parts Runner, so Tom can get his work done person. She has been with us for 4 years and deserves a lot of credit for improvements that have been made here at Hi-T.E.C., Including the new customer reminder program now up and running on our website.  She also attends regular training to provide our clients with the best possible service when you call or walk in our door. Since Tom was just a kid, he has taken an interest in working on all types of vehicles and equipment. He grew up on the farm requiring him to help his father keep all the farm equipment and vehicles maintained. Tom started and operated his own lawnmower / small engine repair business when he was just 14 years old.

He attended Montgomery Joint Vocational School to further his education in Agriculture Mechanics. After graduating High School he shut down the lawnmower business and attended Northwestern Business College to attain his degree in Automotive / Diesel Technology and an associate degree in Business. His goals and dreams after graduating from college was to be a drivability diagnostic technician, little did he know the need that some day he would own and operate his own auto repair facility.

Tom started in the work force as a Truck Technician in 1985. He achieved his ASE Master Automobile and Master Truck Technician Certification by the age of  21. He remained in the truck industry for  3 years but could not give up his first love for the automobile  and made the switch to an Auto Technician in May of 1988. He was employed at Procare for 5 years gaining more education, knowledge and experience. At the end of his 5 years with Procare, He started his full time business, Hi-Tech Engine Consultants / Hi-T.E.C. Automotive, Ltd. 

In 1993 ASE offered an advanced level test pertaining to Engine, Computer and Emission Diagnostics. The second time around, ASE changed the test to make it easier, but Tom passed the first and most stringent test. This was required to be licensed by the Ohio EPA and by December 1995 Hi-T.E.C. was the first and remains the only Licensed Repair Facility in Darke County, Ohio. In his great success of this achievement, Tom was recognized for his abilities and was asked to participate in the training of technicians for the Ohio E-check program. Tom believes that you can never gain enough knowledge in the automotive industry due to changes made daily to the automobile, therefore he continues his and his employees  education each year with approximately 100 hours of additional training or updates to keep up with the ever changing technology of today's automobile. With over 24 years experience, you can trust your vehicle will be fixed right the first time. Being in business now for 12 years he realizes that his business is not only about fixing vehicles but most importantly having lasting relationships with his clients.

Jared joined our team in February 2007. He has become a very valuable asset to our company. Jared has been attending Edison Community College to further his education and has taken interests in diesel engine technology. We look forward and expect he will be one of the best technicians in the industry. His future with Hi-T.E.C. Automotive will include extensive training on the new GM Duramax, Ford Powerstroke and Dodge Cummins diesel Systems. With ever changing technologies in even diesel side of things we are currently keeping up with latest in performance upgrades including exhaust, turbos, high flow injectors, lift pumps,  making your diesel truck a top performer and energy misers.
